About Seth Govind Raghunath Sable College of Pharmacy (Polytechnic), Saswad

Late Shri Govind Sable, born on 6th March 1913, was a visionary who valued education and social service. His efforts, along with Pune District Education Association, led to the establishment of SGRS College of Pharmacy at Saswad.

The college was founded in June 1991 to provide quality pharmaceutical education to rural students, particularly from middle-class and economically weaker backgrounds. Over the years, SGRS has flourished with excellent infrastructure, competent faculty, and a strong tradition of academic excellence.

Our campus features spacious classrooms, advanced laboratories, a well-stocked library, a computer center, gymnasium, and playgrounds. These facilities, supported by dedicated faculty, ensure holistic development and practical learning for every student.

SGRS College organizes lectures, workshops, and seminars throughout the year to expose students to the latest developments in pharmaceutical sciences. Every year on 9th October, the "Govind Seth Sable Memorial Award" is presented to a deserving student, accompanied by a special seminar with industry experts.

The college emphasizes academic excellence, research, professional ethics, and extracurricular achievements. Our students have consistently excelled in cultural, sports, and academic competitions.

At SGRS, we aim to develop skilled, ethical, and compassionate pharmacy professionals capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare industry.
